A newborn baby needs nothing more than a mother’s warmth, gentle touch, and precious milk to help him survive and grow. But for little Roso, the beginning of life is not as sweet and peaceful as it should be. His own mother, old Rosy, seems unwilling to give him the comfort and care he desperately needs.
Little Roso is still so tiny and helpless. His little arms are not strong enough to hold on for long, and his small body depends entirely on his mother. Whenever he feels hungry, he instinctively moves closer to Rosy, searching for her milk. He gently reaches out with his little hands, trying to hold her body and snuggle against her chest. All he wants is to nurse, feel safe, and stay close to the mother he depends on.
But Rosy does not seem patient with her newborn. Instead of welcoming him into her arms, she turns her body away and tries to block him from reaching her milk. Poor Roso becomes confused. He does not understand why his mother keeps moving away when all he wants is a little milk and affection.
The tiny baby tries again. He stretches his little arms around Rosy’s body, hoping that a gentle hug might encourage her to accept him. He presses himself close to her, looking for a comfortable position to nurse. His movements are clumsy and innocent, showing just how young and inexperienced he is.
However, Rosy becomes irritated by his repeated attempts. In a distressing moment, she bites at her newborn and pushes him away when he tries to get close. Little Roso recoils in fear. He is far too young to understand what has happened. He only knows that he wants his mother’s milk, but the very mother he depends on is refusing him.
Poor Roso begins to cry. His little voice sounds so helpless as he reaches toward Rosy again. Even after being rejected, he does not give up on her. His natural instinct is to return to his mother’s side because, to a newborn baby, she is his entire world.
He tries to hug her once more, wrapping his tiny arms around her as if begging, “Mommy, please don’t push me away. I’m hungry. I just want your milk. Please hold me close.”
But Rosy continues to block his attempts to nurse. Her behavior leaves the little baby struggling to find comfort. He moves around restlessly, searching for a place where he can feel warm and secure. Every time he gets close, he hopes that his mother might finally soften and allow him to feed.
Watching little Roso’s repeated attempts is heartbreaking. His tiny hands keep reaching for Rosy, and his little body keeps seeking the warmth of her embrace. He has no way to feed himself and cannot understand why nursing has become such a difficult struggle.
As an older mother, Rosy may be experiencing difficulties caring for her newborn, but little Roso is too young to understand any of that. He needs patience, protection, and proper nourishment. He cannot survive on hugs alone, and his hunger cannot simply be ignored.
The most heartbreaking part is that Roso continues to seek his mother’s affection even after she has frightened and rejected him. He still wants to be near her. He still tries to hug her. His innocent heart knows only the bond between a baby and his mother.
Will Rosy eventually accept her newborn and allow little Roso to nurse peacefully? Will this tiny baby finally receive the warmth, milk, and gentle care he needs to grow stronger?
Little Roso deserves a safe beginning to his life. May he receive the care and protection he needs, and may his story remind us how vulnerable newborn animals are during their first days.
