Flora and Little Fanta — Learning to Be Brave
In the warm green forest, where sunlight danced through the leaves and the ground was covered with soft grass, lived a gentle mother monkey named Flora and her two sons, Floren and little Fanta.
Flora was a sweet, kind, and playful mother. She had raised Floren with great care, and now her little second son, Fanta, was beginning to discover the big world around him. Flora loved both of her boys more than anything, and wherever they went, she watched over them carefully.
But Fanta was still very young.
He loved following his mother, climbing, exploring, and discovering new things—but sometimes the world felt a little too big for him. Whenever Flora encouraged him to move a little farther on his own, Fanta would become nervous. His little heart would race, and he would cry out, “Mama!”
Then, as quickly as his tiny legs could carry him, Fanta would run back to Flora and cling to her for comfort.
Flora never became impatient.
Instead, she would gently stay beside him, giving him the confidence to try again. She knew that being a strong and independent little monkey did not happen in one day. First, Fanta needed to learn that his mother was always there when he needed her.
In this moment, Flora is patiently teaching her little Fanta an important lesson: how to be brave, how to explore, and how to stand on his own. Fanta may still be small and frightened, but every little step he takes is preparing him for the day when he will be strong enough to explore the forest by himself.
And whenever he gets scared, he knows exactly where to run.
Back to Mama Flora.
Floren, his older brother, is already growing into a confident young monkey, but Fanta still has plenty of growing to do. Flora will continue to protect both of her sons, play with them, guide them, and stay close through every stage of their childhood.
Because a mother’s greatest gift is not keeping her children beside her forever.
It is giving them the courage to grow, while making sure they always know they have a safe place to come home to.
For little Fanta, that safe place will always be Mama Flora’s loving arms. ❤️🐒
