The little girl seemed so happy just to be close to her mother. She gently held onto some of Libby’s fur and settled down.<\/p>\n
But Lily remained cautious, watching her mother’s movements carefully.<\/p>\n
She had learned that affection could disappear at any moment.<\/p>\n
As the afternoon passed, the poor baby became tired from all her crying and searching for attention. She eventually curled up in a quiet place, holding her little body close.<\/p>\n
Her beautiful eyes slowly closed, but her sadness remained.<\/p>\n
Perhaps tomorrow she would try again.<\/p>\n
Perhaps tomorrow Mom would finally give her a loving hug.<\/p>\n
Perhaps tomorrow would be the day Lily felt truly wanted.<\/p>\n
Dear little Lily, you are not a bad baby. You deserve kindness, patience, and unconditional love. Your innocent heart should never have to beg for affection.<\/p>\n
A mother should be a baby’s safest place, not the reason for her tears. We hope Libby will become more patient and gentle, and that Lily will receive the protection and loving care she needs.<\/p>\n
