It was a bright, sunny morning in the courtyard. Little baby monkey Lily<\/b> was filled with her usual boundless energy, darting from one corner of the yard to another, fascinated by every leaf and pebble. Nearby, her mother, Libby<\/b>, relaxed in a patch of shade, keeping a watchful, loving eye on her playful baby.<\/p>\n
In the middle of the yard stood a shallow swimming pool filled with cool, sparkling water. Lily was intrigued by the tiny ripples dancing on the surface. Curiously, she crept over to the pool’s slick edge. She peered over, watching her own tiny reflection wobble in the water, and reached out a little paw to touch the surface.<\/p>\n
In her excitement, Lily leaned a bit too far. Her footing slipped on the wet rim, and with a sudden splash<\/b>, she tumbled into the water!<\/p>\n
The cool water engulfed her for a terrifying second. Scared and confused, little Lily began splashing frantically, her tiny arms paddling as she struggled to keep her head above water. She tried to reach for the slick edge of the pool, but her little paws kept sliding off the side.<\/p>\n
Over in the shade, Libby sat up instantly at the sound of the splash. She rushed to the edge of the pool, making soft, comforting noises to encourage her baby.<\/p>\n
With determination and a burst of energy, Lily kicked her tiny legs against the water, paddling toward the shallow side. Snatching a firm grip on the pool’s rim with both paws, she hauled herself upward. Struggling against her wet fur, she pulled her chest over the edge and scrambled out onto the dry tiles.<\/p>\n
Shaking the water from her soaked fur, Lily let out a small squeak of relief. Libby immediately wrapped her arms around the wet little monkey, pulling her close, nuzzling her, and grooming her fur to warm her up. Though she had been frightened for a moment, Lily safely nestled in her mother’s warm embrace, happy and sound after her big pool adventure.<\/p>\n
