It was a hot afternoon at the temple, and the sun was shining brightly over the trees and rocks. The heat was almost too much for the monkeys, so many of them gathered around a small pool near the temple, looking for a way to cool themselves down.<\/p>\n
Among them was a little monkey named Brutus Jr.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n At first, everything was wonderful.<\/p>\n Brutus Jr. happily jumped into the water with the other monkeys. He splashed, swam around, climbed onto the rocks, and jumped back into the pool again. It looked like the perfect afternoon for a playful little monkey.<\/p>\n He seemed to forget all about the hot weather.<\/p>\n Brutus Jr. spent quite a long time swimming and playing before finally deciding that it was time to get out. He climbed onto the rocks, shook the water from his body, and prepared to continue his adventure.<\/p>\n But he didn’t know that something unpleasant had already found him.<\/p>\n As Brutus Jr. walked across the rocks, he suddenly felt something strange on his leg.<\/p>\n At first, he didn’t understand what was happening.<\/p>\n He looked down and discovered a big leech firmly attached to his leg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Brutus Jr. immediately became confused.<\/p>\n Then he realized that something was biting him.<\/p>\n Suddenly, his relaxing swimming day turned into complete panic!<\/p>\n He began pulling at the leech with his hands, trying again and again to get it off. But the stubborn little creature wouldn’t let go. The harder Brutus Jr. tried, the more frustrated and frightened he became.<\/p>\n He started running around from rock to rock, desperately trying to escape the unwanted passenger attached to his leg.<\/p>\n Poor Brutus Jr. cried and rushed toward his mother, Jill<\/strong>, hoping she could save him.<\/p>\n But Jill seemed just as confused.<\/p>\n She looked at her son’s leg but apparently didn’t know how to remove the stubborn leech. Brutus Jr. continued pulling and shaking his leg, almost as if he were saying, “Mom, please get this thing off me!”<\/em><\/p>\n Other big monkeys noticed the little troublemaker running around in panic. They watched Brutus Jr. jumping from one rock to another, but none of them seemed able to help.<\/p>\n The little monkey refused to give up.<\/p>\n He ran.<\/p>\n He stopped.<\/p>\n He pulled.<\/p>\n Then he ran again.<\/p>\n It was almost like Brutus Jr. was having a tiny wrestling match with the leech\u2014and unfortunately, the leech was winning!<\/p>\n But after struggling for quite some time, Brutus Jr. finally found a way to pull the stubborn creature away from his leg.<\/p>\n At last, the leech came off!<\/strong><\/p>\n Brutus Jr. immediately looked relieved, but his leg had a small amount of bleeding where the leech had been attached.<\/p>\n After such a frightening experience, the little monkey quickly climbed up into the tree. He found a quiet place to sit, rest, and calm himself down.<\/p>\n Only a short while earlier, Brutus Jr. had been happily swimming with his friends, enjoying the cool water on a hot afternoon.<\/p>\n Now he was sitting quietly in the tree, probably wondering how one peaceful swimming trip could turn into such a terrible little adventure.<\/p>\n Thankfully, Brutus Jr. managed to free himself and escape the stubborn leech.<\/p>\n For this little monkey, it was certainly a swimming day he would never forget.<\/p>\n Sometimes, even the happiest afternoon can suddenly become an unexpected adventure\u2014and for Brutus Jr., his biggest enemy that day wasn’t another monkey or a dangerous predator.<\/p>\n It was just one very stubborn little leech!<\/strong><\/p>\n Watch full video here:<\/p>\n
